The True Hollywood Story

Hollywood is not just the entertainment industry or a sign on a hill. Hollywood is a dynamic multi-cultural creative center shining brightly with possibility yet darkened with the realities of poverty for forty percent of families living here. Poverty in Hollywood means that teenagers are more heavily recruited by gangs than by mentors; that families are forced to choose between the electric bill and fresh nutritious food for their children. Along side these realities is a community of artists, activists, and creative people looking for ways to change the world and express themselves. We help these worlds collide and believe that empowerment and connection can lead to a new social reality for Hollywood. That together we can build a healthy community.
